Who we are
Our website address is: https://wakenlake.com
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
We collect information you have provided such as emails, names, addresses, phone numbers, passwords, IP addresses, and more in order to better serve you. We take your information and make the experience you have easier and more convenient.
You can optionally click ‘Remember Me’ upon logging in, and our servers will save your IP address for two weeks so that you don’t have to enter your username and password upon logging in each time you shop with us. Our servers will save what products you have in your carts in case your computer malfunctions or if you aren’t ready to checkout. We save your contact information in order to reach out to you for any order issues, or to let you know of new products or sales, etc. You may opt out of email offers at anytime. We take your phone number so that we can reach you if you are needing help ordering, or for automatic texting to quickly let you know of offers.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
We may gather and collect emails, names, and any other information you provide to us in order to assist you. That information will be stored in our servers indefinitely unless you contact us, requesting that we delete it.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile indefinitely. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (however, they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. Administrators cannot see your current password, but they can reset it for you.
What rights you have over your shared data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where We Send Your Data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your name and email may be subject to being sent or ‘synced’ to our third party email or texting services to send you information on updates or occasional offers.
Upon checkouts, user information will be shared with payment processors. We use secure encrypted processors for this. You can visit Stripe’s privacy policy here.
Our website is hosted in third party servers. These trusted third parties also have access to your information. If you would like to know more about this, please Contact Us.
Your Contact Information
While we do not sell your contact information, we may share it with third parties to help us better serve you. Things like email services, transaction processors, and more.
Additional information
If you are concerned for your personal information, please reach out to us and we will do our best to help you.
How we protect your data
We do not allow your data to be seen by the public. We hold your information in secure servers, with top notch security software that gives us capabilities to protect both you and us. We have tracking on the administrative side of our site allowed for only one of our administration accounts. This allows us to see all activity on the back end of the site, and get a better idea of what files have been accessed if a breach ever were to happen.
What data breach procedures we have in place
While it has not happened to us yet, hacking and illegal data collection is a risk in the modern world. From small blogs to Multi-million dollar websites, they all pose a risk of getting hacked. It is rare, but if your data is breached, we will send you an email with the details of what information was gathered. We’ll send out an email to specific users of concern, and to all of our customers and subscribers if a data breach happens.
Again, if you are confused, need help, or have concerns, reach out to us and we’ll do our best to assist you.
We strive to be transparent, while offering you the best experience we possibly can, and hope this policy helped you better understand how we handle your information.
